We're excited to announce the general availability of the
HTTP DDoS Managed Rules. The feature is available for Cloudflare customers on all plans.
Customizing your DDoS Protection settings We expect that in most cases, you won't need to customize any settings. However, in some rare cases, there is a need to make some configuration changes.
If your HTTP application receives odd traffic patterns, naively violates protocol standards or causes spiky behavior this may be flagged by the DDoS protection system. To avoid impact to your traffic during such cases, you can now customize the system's
action and
sensitivity levels directly from within the dashboard or via the API. Previously, a support ticket was required for this process.
If you haven't experienced this issue previously, there is no action required on your end. If however, you would like to customize your DDoS protection settings, go directly to the
DDoS tab or follow these steps:
- Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard, and select your account and website.
- Go to Firewall > DDoS.
- Next to HTTP DDoS attack protection, click Configure.
- In Ruleset configuration, select the action and sensitivity values for all the rules in the HTTP DDoS Managed Ruleset.
