Plus, tell us your predictions for 2024

December 14, 2023

Hi, Agen. Anyone who follows demographic trends is probably aware that the population of older adults in the U.S. and other advanced economies is growing at an unprecedented rate. Today, roughly one in six Americans is 65 or older, and their share continues to rise. It’s a trend that hasn’t gone unnoticed in the startup world — or by venture investors, who’ve poured quite a bit of funding into startups that tackle everything from longevity to how seniors and their families manage care and finances. Plus, we want your predictions and candid thoughts on what’s to come in our 2024 reader forecast survey.

Startups tackling four major trends related to an aging population — anti-aging breakthroughs, preventative medicine, fitness and managing care — are drawing significant funding. We look at some of the top-funded startups in each space and what they’re working on.
